DYI Cheap, Easy + Quiet Pellet Trap on the New Backyard Range + Channel Update - It's all good news!

Welcome to the Endless Summer Era of the Wisconsin AirGunner's Channel!

Shooting in the snow can be fun, and we've had a good time with it, but when opportunity knocks decisions must be made or they pass by. One such opportunity has presented itself and a move from the old Wisconsin-based Backyard Range into a smaller space has necessitated the reconstruction of a quiet pellet trap.

In this video I walk through the construction of an easy to build but solid and effective (and quiet) pellet trap suitable for small space shooting. You should have this done in about 10 minutes and the project cost is $25 or less, depending on what you might have on hand to work with.

You can scale this project up or down depending on your power requirements, but the shallowest I'd go is 6" of mulch. The 20 FPE, .177 cal slugs I'm shooting in this stopped in 2-3 inches of mulch.

I would NOT recommend the use of this backstop for centerfire or rimfire (firearm) shooting. This backstop is for airguns (PCP, single or multi-stroke pneumatic, break barrel or CO2 airguns only.
